Some benchmarks that i completed was 1.construct a loop, 2.determine dissipated energy on task,3.determine initial height to make it over a hill,4.Design sketch,5.build roller coaster prototype ,and 6.build final roller coaster. This benchmark helped me learn that when ever diss. energy starts it would never end. I also learned that the at at-bats helped me with the previous at bats and with my performance task this helped me understand that there will always be gravity in the beginning and when it goes up it gains kinetic, gravity, and diss. when it lands it has more diss and less kinetic and gravity
|The reason to why i picked the starting height to be 50 was because it was the height I needed for the marble which was 10 kg to have enough speed for it to go all around the hoop which it was 20 while gaining kinetic energy and enough diss for it to go up location c which was 10, the hill it gain more diss and it lost a bit of gravity and kinetic and it lost 66%.For the starting height I would’ve picked 60 and for the loop it would’ve been 15 and for the hill it would’ve been 5. The reason to why I would’ve picked these numbers would because the starting height was higher than the loop meaning it would gain more kinetic which would have more force for the marble to go all around the loop the reason to why I picked 5 was because it would make it go up with more diss that it gain in location b and it would loss a bit more kinetic and gravity energy.
